Kyle Spradley is a landscape and nature photographer who also specializes in sports, photojournalism and video production. He is a Laramie, Wyoming photographer available for commercial and editorial services, wedding photography and portraits, and is an FAA-certified Drone Pilot producing aerial photography and videography.
When he was just 14, Kyle started to discover the intricacies of photography. While in high school he took a photo class in which he developed and printed photos via darkroom. Soon, the digital revolution engulfed the photography world and, thus, he switched to digital SLRs.
While in college at the University of Missouri, Kyle studied photojournalism and natural resources. In May 2009, he earned a BS in Agricultural Journalism and after graduation, he was hired as a photo intern for the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis.
In March of 2010, Kyle accepted the position as Field Editor for Rural Missouri Magazine. He wrote feature stories and designed layouts for the statewide publication with a monthly circulation over half a million. He produced multimedia pieces to accompany the stories. He also was one of the catalysts in the design of a new interactive digital edition to seamlessly play on the magazine's website he designed (www.ruralmissouri.coop).
Afterwards he returned to his alma Mater at the University of Missouri as a statewide media coordinator for the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. His duties included writing regular press releases, working with local and state media, capturing images and interacting with several parties involved in agriculture in the Show-Me State.
Now he resides in Laramie as the photographer and videographer for the University of Wyoming (www.uwyo.edu) and produces photos and videos that are featured in countless print and web publications, magazines, television commercials and social media.
Throughout his career Kyle has gained experience in several facets of photography including studio lighting, product shoots, sports and action photography, portraits and self-teaching multimedia production.
Kyle's website experience also includes the design and management of this site in addition to a site for a St. Louis-area tree service company, Trees, Forests and Landscapes, Inc. (www.treesforestsandlandscapes.com).
Kyle's images are available for purchase and he is available to hire for events, sports, concerts, weddings and engagement sessions.
In 2017, Kyle became an FAA-Certified Drone Pilot with passing the Part 107 Certification. You'll see him buzzing around the local landscapes capturing a new angle for drone photography and videography.
