2011 Cherry Blossom Festival in the United States capital, Washington, DC in spring. Each year thousands of cherry trees that were donated by the Japanese in the early 1900s bloom, attracting millions each early spring from late March through the middle of April. The biggest collection of trees that attracts the most tourists and visitors is the Tidal Basin region on the southwest corner of the Capitol Capital Mall.
